Hike To Swan Falls Dam – February 2013

While Annemarie visited with an old friend, The Brothers Mute enjoyed two hikes…one to waterfalls and another around the entire reservoir.

Mark and I began our journey at Swan Falls Dam in S.W. Idaho. This Dam blocks the Snake River as it winds North and eventually West into the mighty Columbia River.

At the dam, we crossed over onto the West bank of the Snake River and for a brief jaunt enjoyed views from the shoreline. But our shoreline excursion would soon make way for a climb up the canyon wall and into the Snake River Plain.

Our trip lasted just over 2 and 1/2 hours and covered just under six miles round trip.
